Hello there, I'm Penelope

IT’S A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU!

I'm the owner and founder of Fit & Fabulous Over 55.

For most of my youth, I was not a fit or healthy person. I struggled big-time with being overweight, having health issues, and I’d get out of breath just walking around the house.

I couldn’t stick to a health routine that made me feel fit, vibrant, confident, and motivated.

Everything changed when I became pregnant at 30 and realised I had to look after more than my own health. Through a mix of exercise, mindfulness, self-compassion, and family support – I began a radical lifestyle change.

I still to this day, prioritise my fitness and strength. This dedication saw me run my first half marathon, at the age of 61.

I’m a Clinical Psychologist and a qualified Fitness Trainer. And I’ve been doing this for 35 years.

When I started over 3 decades ago in Psychology, it was all about understanding the mind. And I realised really quickly that you can’t separate the mind from the body.

So I became passionate about physical fitness, brain fitness, mindfulness, and emotional well-being.

And I’m still teaching this 35 years later in my specialised body & brain fitness classes- online and face-to-face in Freo, W. Australia.
